Acer has not been doing very well in the domain of tablet computers and the success of its Iconia tab can only be considered just about average compared to the likes of Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire. The latest offering from the company is Acer Iconia Tab A110 which, while not as good as the market leaders, has nonetheless something unique to offer. For instance, the device is equipped with microSD card slot for memory expansion and also has an HDMI port. Both these specs are missing from Nexus 7, even though there is a significant customer demand for them.

The normal price of Acer Iconia Tab A110 is $229.99, but right now, there is an exciting new deal on offer from Walmart Canada. As per this deal, the device is on sale at the store with a price tag of just $178, a nice deal for your holiday season.

The technical specifications of Iconia Tab are pretty decent, though the device does not command as much popularity as Nexus 7. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a Tegra 3 quad core processor in conjunction with 1GB of RAM memory. The device also features a 2 megapixel front-facing camera and comes with a display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Finally, it would be equipped with 3420mAh battery with a decent battery life of about 10 hours.

While $178 is quite an impressive deal, many users might still prefer going for 16GB Nexus 7, which only requires an additional $21. But as already mentioned, Nexus 7 lacks microSD card slot and HDMI port. Regardless of these factors, the deal would be around for a while so if you are on a limited budget, you might want to get your hands on the Acer tablet.
